Lenovo is gearing up for the launch of its new gaming smartphone. The company thas teased the launch of the Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming phone. The device is expected to launch in February. However, the company has not revealed the exact launch date yet. It is expected to launch sometime during the Chinese New Year holiday season. Ahead of the official launch, the device’s specs have leaked online.
Lenovo Legion Y90 specifications
Lenovo Legion Y90 will be the next gaming smartphone to offer flagship-level performance. The phone will launch in February in China. As per the leaked information, the gaming smartphone will pack a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. Rumours suggest that the device could come with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
For longer battery life, the Legion Y90 will pack a massive 5500 mAh battery. It will come with support for 68W fast charging, which we had recently spotted on 3C. At the front, the phone will have a tall 6.92-inch display. The E4 AMOLED panel will come with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. It will also have a touch sampling rate of 720Hz. For haptics, the phone will come with a dual x-axis linear motor.
The company has already teased the device’s design. A teaser video uploaded on Weibo revealed that the device has a camera module right in the centre. The protruding module houses a dual-camera setup with the Legion logo in the centre. Next to the camera sensors are the vents to channel out the heat from the inside. The device is expected to launch with fans on the inside for faster thermal cooling. The phone is also expected to come with two USB Type-C ports for charging.
