Lenovo Legion Y90 Design Officially Revealed in Teaser Video

Lenovo has teased its new gaming phone, again.

Last month, we heard about Lenovo working on a new gaming phone, and as it turns out, the brand is working on not just a gaming phone but also a tablet, evident from the recent teasers. Lenovo will be launching these new devices under its Legion lineup- Lenovo Legion Y90 Gaming Phone and Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet.

A little while ago, the official Weibo account of Lenovo Legion had dropped a short teaser video showing the Legion Y50 off, and from the video, it’s confirmed that the phone will look like the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2, launched last year.

Lenovo Legion Y90 comes with a striking design

The video shows the phone’s back, which houses the camera module right at the centre, rather than being placed towards the top. There is a dual-camera setup, and it looks like Lenovo is using the camera module section for additional purposes like vents for thermals. There is also a Y-shaped RGB light, an LED flash, and the Legion branding.

However, the front of the Lenovo Legion Y90 is just like most regular smartphones, but without a notch or punch-hole. Instead, there the front-facing camera seems to be within the top bezel. The phone comes with a flat display, with rounded corners.

Earlier, teasers revealed that the Lenovo Legion Y90 would come with two USB-C ports. There will be a USB-C port on the phone’s left edge and another at the bottom, like any other smartphone. The volume rockers lie on the left, while the SIM card slot lies at the bottom.

Nothing much is known about the hardware yet

In terms of specifications, the Lenovo Legion Y90 may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. At the same time, it will sport a huge 6.92-inch Samsung E4 HDDR AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 720Hz touch sampling rate. Some sources also talk about Double Engine Air Cooling technology on the phone. However, Lenovo has not really talked much about it but it’s quite sure now that the gaming phone will hit the shelves soon.
