Moto G8 Power Lite (XT2055-1) Moniker Confirmed Via Thailand NBTC Certification

Motorola appears to be working on a toned-down variant of the Moto G8 Power smartphone known as Moto G8 Power Lite. The smartphone has now been spotted on the Thailand NBTC certification website, which confirms its moniker. The same device was earlier caught running on the FCC certification website, which had revealed some of its key specifications. While the earlier predictions were that the device would be dubbed the Moto Z5, the NBTC certification has changed the assumption, and we finally have a name for our upcoming Moto mid-ranger.

As seen in the NBTC certification image, the Moto G8 Power Lite (with the model number Moto XT2055-1) will be a 4G handset, which does not come as a surprise to anyone. Other than the moniker and the fact that the device will have 4G capabilities, the NBTC certification does not reveal anything about the Moto G8 Power Lite. That said, the FCC certification has already revealed that the device will be fueled with a beefy 5,000mAh battery.

As far as the launch date goes, the Moto G8 Power Lite is expected to launch somewhere in March 2020, but since a lot has changed ever since the Mobile World Congress 2020 has been called off, we cannot really say for sure as to whether or not the launch timings of the Moto G8 Power Lite will stay put.

As for some expected specifications is concerned, the handset might come loaded with a Full HD+ display and one might expect it to come with either punch-hole design or waterdrop notch. The phone might come with quad rear cameras, though the sensors are not known at the moment. Furthermore, one can expect it to feature a 25MP shooter for selfies and video calling.
