Motorola Edge 30 Pro Listed on NBTC Certification, Appears to be Rebranded Edge X30 for Global Markets

The Edge 30 pro was spotted on Geekbench database a couple of weeks ago.


Motorola launched the Moto Edge X30 smartphone last month in the Chinese market. The Edge X30 was the first handset with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The handset is believed to make its debut as the Moto Edge 30 Pro in the global markets. A couple of weeks back, the handset was spotted on Geekbench benchmark database website. We have now spotted the handset on NBTC certification website, which also reveals the model number of the handset. The listing hints towards an imminent launch.

The listing confirms the model number of the upcoming Moto Edge 30 Pro. As per the listing, the handset will carry model number XT2201-1. To recall, the model number of the Moto Edge X30 is XT2201-2.

The handset was spotted on Geekbench database which confirmed that the handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The Geekbench listing had confirmed the device will come pre-loaded with Android 12 and pack 12GB of RAM.

Moto Edge X30: Speecifications and Features

The Edge X30 flaunt a 6.7-inch Full HD+ POLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 700nits peak brightness, and HD10+ certification. The display comes with a punch-hole notch that accomodates the front selfie shooter. The Moto X30 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 68W fast-charging support.

The Edge X30 offers a triple rear camera setup and a LED flash. The primary sensor on the handset is a 50MP sensor that gets coupled by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the Edge X30 has a 60MP sensor at the front.

The Edge X30 gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C charging port. But, it doesn’t have the 3.55mm audio jack. It retails in two colour options – Black and Pearl White. The handset weighs 194grams and measures 163.56 x 75.95 x 8.49mm.
