Samsung is gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone under the Galaxy A-series. The South Korean tech giant is working on a new variant of the Galaxy A12, which could possibly launch as the A12s. Samsung has not officially announced any details of the upcoming budget smartphone. The device with the model number SM-A127M has visited the FCC website ahead of the launch. The listing reveals some key details of the upcoming Samsung smartphone. It will come with 15W fast charging support. Samsung could launch the Galaxy A12s very soon. The budget Galaxy A-series device has visited the FCC website ahead of the launch. The listing confirms the device’s battery charging details. According to the FCC listing, the Samsung phone with the model number SM-A127M will support 15W fast charging. We speculate that this device could pack a 5000 mAh battery under the hood.

Another report claims that a Galaxy A12 variant could launch with an Exynos 850 SoC. This variant could be the Galaxy A12s. The 8nm SoC is paired with a Mali-G52 GPU. Samsung will launch the device with up to 4GBGB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This will be a good upgrade over the Galaxy A12’s MediaTek Helio P35 processor built on 12nm process.

The phone is expected to sport a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a 720 x 1600 resolution. The device will launch in 3GB/ 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Users can expand the storage via a microSD card up to 1TB, according to the report.

For optics, it will have a quad-camera setup on the back. The phone will feature a 48MP primary camera and a 5MP ultrawide sensor. It will also have two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. For selfies, there will be an 8MP front camera inside the tiny notch. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and run Android 11-based OneUI 3 out of the box.
