One UI 5.0 Beta Update Rolling Out to Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Users in India

Samsung One UI 5.0 could release very soon. The company has rolled out beta versions of its new skin based on Android 13 to select smartphones. The Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy S21 series have already received the One UI 5.0 beta update in select markets. In India, Samsung previously released the beta update of its upcoming One UI update to Galaxy S22 series users. The company has now made the update available for Samsung Galaxy S21 series users in India.

Galaxy S21 Series Users in India Get Samsung One UI 5.0 Beta

The new One UI 5.0 public beta update has been rolled out to Samsung Galaxy S21 series, which includes the S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra. Those who were a part of the beta program have received the update. Those who wish to get their hands on the new One UI experience can sign up for the program on the Samsung Members app. Following the registration, the new One UI update notification should arrive soon.

The SamMobile report stated that some apps might not work for users who have downloaded the beta update. The report revealed that Google Pay, one of the most popular payments apps in India, might not work properly after installing the beta update. Therefore, it is advised to take a backup of your device’s data in case you wish to roll back to the current stable update.

Samsung has made some minor changes while introducing new One UI features in the upcoming update. The update introduces minor enhancements to the Android colour palette, which matches the system UI colour based on the wallpaper. The notifications shade is also revamped and is now more opaque. Samsung also introduced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to the Gallery app, which recognises text in images, allowing users to copy and paste it into other apps.

In addition to these features, Bixby Routines also gets some minor enhancements. One UI 5.0 will also bring new emojis and AR stickers. Samsung has also updated its own apps, such as Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, Samsung Internet, etc.
