Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone. The Y54s is the company’s latest budget smartphone launched in China. It is a budget 5G smartphone that features a MediaTek Dimensity SoC under the hood. The phone also sports a dual-camera setup on the back. The device’s display is surrounded by thin bezels with a waterdrop notch on top for the front camera. Vivo Y54s price in China

The Vivo Y54s is a budget 5G smartphone launched in China. It comes in a single storage configuration with 6GB of RAM. The phone has 128GB of internal storage and is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 19,800). It comes in two colours – Titanium Gray and Lake Blue. As mentioned earlier, there is no word on the launch of the Y54s in India at the moment.

Specifications and features

The Y54s sports a 6.51-inch with a Full HD+ resolution. The device with an IPS LCD has a 20:9 aspect ratio. WIth reasonably thin bezels and a tiny waterdrop notch on top, the phone has an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio.

On the back of the device is a dual-camera setup. The square-shaped camera module houses a 13MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. The device comes with features like Portrait mode, Night mode, Time-lapse, slow-motion video recording, etc.

It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The device draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and supports 2GB of virtual RAM that is borrowed from the 128GB internal storage. Other specs and features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, AI face unlock, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, etc. It runs Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0 out of the box.
