Motorola Confirms Smartphones Eligible for My UX Based on Android 14 Update

Google debuted the Android 14 update to the Pixel smartphones in October 2023. Major smartphone brands, including Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus, have already started rolling out the Android 14 updates based on custom skins for its smartphones. Motorola has also started pushing out the My UX based on Android 14 updates for its smartphones.

However, the Lenovo-owned brand didn’t confirm which smartphones will receive the Android 14 update. The support page of Motorola now has the full list of smartphones that are eligible for the latest iteration of My UX based on Android 14 update. However, the support page doesn’t reveal the exact launch timeline of the updates.

The website also mentions that Motorola will soon push the Android 14 updates to its smartphones once partner approval is obtained. However, Motorola has already started pushing the Android 14 beta updates for its smartphones in India. The Lenovo-owned brand recently pushed the Android 14 beta update for the Moto G54 5G smartphone in India. The update embedded the December 2023 security patch and sports the version number U1TD34.68.

The changelog shared by the users confirms that Motorola will roll out the update with deeper ‘Material You’ theme. The lock screen clock styles, app icons, and notification bubbles can be customised with material you themes. Motorola also equips the update with new shortcuts and themes for the lockscreen of its smartphones.

The Android 14 beta update also brought support for Ultra HDR photos and better camera extensions to improve mobile photography. Motorola is yet to confirm the timeline of the stable My UX based on Android 14 update for the Moto G54 5G smartphone. We might have to wait for further clarification from the brand regarding the Android 14 rollout timeline.
