Motorola Edge PStar with 33W Charger Confirmed by 3C, Clears Multiple Certifications Ahead of Launch

Motorola is prepping up for the launch of multiple handsets in the upcoming months. The company is rumoured to be working on devices that are codenamed as Motorola Edge Berlin, Motorola Edge Kyoto, and the Motorola Edge PStar. The publication detailed last week that the Motorola Edge PStar is codenamed Sierra internally and it has the model number as the XT2153. Now, we at MySmartPrice have spotted this upcoming handset at multiple certifications. The Motorola Edge PStar (XT2153) has cleared the 3C, Wi-Fi, and EEC certification ahead of its official debut. Motorola Edge PStar Receives 3C, Wi-Fi Alliance, And EEC Certification Ahead Of Launch

If we have a look at the 3C certification listing, we can see that the Motorola Edge PStar bears a model number as XT2153-1. The device will offer 33W fast charging support and 5G connectivity as per the 3C certification. Moving onto the Wi-Fi Alliance certification details, the phone is listed with the same XT2153-1 model number. As per the Wi-Fi listing, the Motorola Edge PStar will run Android 11 out of the box. The phone is granted certification on June 17, 2021, as per the document. Last but not least, the device is also spotted on the EEC certification website. The EEC certification doesn’t reveal any specs of this upcoming smartphone, but it does show us the model number as XT2153-1.

As far as the specs of the device go, it is said to launch with either Snapdragon 870 or the Snapdragon 865 chipset. The Motorola Edge PStar is tipped to come in Black, Blue, and White colour option. The handset is said to come in 6GB/8GB and 12GB RAM options with 128GB/512GB storage. As for the optics, the phone is rumoured to feature a triple-camera setup. At the rear, the smartphone might sport a 108MP primary main camera, 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto camera. For selfies and video-calling, the handset might come equipped with a 32MP camera unit.


The rest of the specifications of the handset like display size, design, battery capacity details remain a mystery at the moment. Now, that the device has started appearing on multiple certifications, we can expect Motorola to announce the smartphone officially in the upcoming few weeks.
