Motorola Confirms Upcoming Edge Smartphone’s Chipset; Moto Edge 50 Fusion Specs Tipped

Motorola has confirmed plans to launch a new Edge series smartphone in India. The brand has revealed the chipset and colour options of the upcoming device, which has not officially been named.

In related news, Evan Blass, a well-known tipster on X (formerly Twitter), revealed the key specifications of the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Fusion smartphone on his official handle.

Motorola Edge Series Smartphone Confirmed Specifications

Motorola has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will sport a curved AMOLED display. The device’s rear will house a raised camera module alongside Motorola branding in the centre.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC will power the upcoming Edge series smartphone. For now, the brand has not confirmed the exact name of the device.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Expected Specifications

Motorola is also expected to debut the Edge 50 Fusion along with the above mystery phone at the launch event. Tipster Evan Blass revealed that Motorola’s upcoming Edge 50 Fusion smartphone has the codename Cusco, which features a 6.7-inch pOLED display with FHD+ resolution.

Blass also claims the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. This chipset powers many mid-range smartphones, including the HONOR X9b and Realme 12 Pro 5G.

According to Blass, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will likely have up to 256GB of internal storage. Motorola will equip the smartphone with a 50MP primary camera and a 32MP selfie camera, a 5000 mAh battery and 68W wired charging.

Motorola will debut the smartphone in Peacock Pink, Ballad Blue, or Tidal Teal shades. The Ballad Blue colourway will sport vegan leather on the rear panel. The Edge 50 Fusion will have an IP68 rating and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
