Motorola India is gearing up for a new smartphone launch in April. The brand’s public relations team has shared a teaser of the launch event. The brand will likely unveil the Motorola Edge 50 Pro smartphone at the event.

Motorola reveals that a new smartphone will launch in India on April 3. The teaser says, “Save the Date to witness the fusion of Art and intelligence.” The brand adds that more details and a format invitation will be shared soon. The upcoming launch event will take place in New Delhi.

The leaks on the web suggest that the Lenovo-owned brand could debut the Edge 50 Pro smartphone. The official-looking renders of the smartphone were leaked recently, hinting that the device would debut on April 3. The upcoming Edge 50 Pro is said to be a rebranded Motorola X50 Ultra, launching in China in April.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro Expected Specifications

A report from Android Headlines reveals that Motorola will debut the smartphone in Purple, Black, and White shades. Motorola is tipped to equip the Edge 50 Pro smartphone with faux leather on the rear.

The device will sport a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The Edge 50 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and the Adreno 750 GPU. The chipset will pair with 12GB of RAM and is also expected to debut in a lower variant with 8GB of RAM.

The smartphone will sport a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.4 aperture. The other sensors will be an ultrawide camera with a 13mm sensor and a telephoto camera with a 73mm sensor and 6x optical zoom support.

The primary camera will also support OIS and laser autofocus. The Edge 50 Pro will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
