Motorola is gearing up for the launch of the Motorola Edge 50 series smartphones. The upcoming Edge 50 series smartphones will debut as a successor to the existing Motorola Edge 40 series smartphones. Today, we have spotted the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Pro smartphone in the TDRA certification.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro TDRA Certification
The upcoming Edge 50 Pro received the UAE’s TDRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) with the model number XT2403-2. The TDRA certification hints that the smartphone will soon debut in the UAE and other global markets. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro moniker of the smartphone is also confirmed by the TDRA certification.
The upcoming Motorola smartphones were recently spotted on the FCC database, BIS, and IMEI websites by folks at 91Mobiles. The FCC database certified multiple Motorola smartphones with the XT2403-1, XT2403-2, XT2403-4, and XT2403-5 model numbers. The XT2403 series model numbers are confirmed to be the different smartphones in the upcoming Edge 50 series.
The FCC certification of the XT2403-2 model number, which belongs to the Edge 50 Pro smartphone, confirms support for e-SIM as well. The model number also appeared in the IMEI database, which also reveals the Macan codename. Tipster Evan Blass recently confirmed that the Edge 50 Pro sports the codename Macan.
The publication also spotted new 50W wireless chargers with the model number MW-02 and wired chargers with up to 125W (model numbers MC-1250 to MC-1258) on the TUV Rheinland website. A 4500mAh battery with the model number QM45 also received the TUV Rheinland certification.
The XT2403-1 model number was also spotted on BIS certification alongside the XT2431-1, hinting that the launch of the smartphone is nearing in India.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro Expected Specifications
The certifications summarise that the Edge 50 Pro could be backed by a 4500mAh battery with support for 125W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging tech.
Motorola is tipped to equip the Edge 50 Pro smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The smartphone might debut in the second quarter of 2024, according to a tipster on Weibo. Motorola could debut the smartphone under the Moto X50 moniker in the Chinese market.
