Motorola is rumoured to be working on a new flagship codenamed “Frontier”. The official naming scheme of this upcoming Motorola flagship smartphone is unknown at the moment. The device is expected to launch in the second half of 2022 with upgraded specs. The company has not confirmed any details regarding the same. Meanwhile, design render images of the upcoming Motorola Frontier smartphone have leaked online.
Tipster Evan Blass, aka EvLeaks, has uploaded the design image of Motorola’s premium smartphone. One of the previous reports also revealed some key specifications of the upcoming Android flagship smartphone. Motorola Frontier Design, Specifications
Motorola Frontier design renders leaked online reveal that the phone has a curved display. The USP of the phone is also its high-resolution rear camera. Previous reports suggested that the Motorola smartphone will feature a 200MP sensor. However, EvLeaks claims that the phone will feature a 194MP rear camera.
The tipster did not reveal the details of the other two sensors. A recent leak claimed that the phone will feature a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom. The centrally aligned hole punch cutout will house a 60MP front camera sensor.
As per leaks, the device will have a 6.67-inch display. It will have a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED screen will also have an HDR10+ certification. It will come in multiple storage options. According to reports, Motorola will launch the device in 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB options.
Under the hood, the phone will pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC, which has not yet been announced. The chipset could be introduced in the second half of 2022 with some minor improvements over the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. In terms of battery, the device is rumoured to feature a 4500 mAh cell. The phone is also said to get support for a whopping fast 125W wired fast charging along with 30W/ 50W wireless charging. It will run Android 12 out of the box. One can expect the phone to have a layer of Moto’s MyUX UI on top of Android.
