There have been some leaks surrounding Nokia’s upcoming flagship called the Nokia 9.3 PureView smartphone. Reports have suggested that the phone will have a penta-camera setup with a 108MP wide-angle lens. Now a new report has claimed that the device will likely be able to record videos in 8K @ 30fps.

However, the source of this new information has detailed that this 8K recording might very well be an experimental feature. It will go on the final devices if the result is acceptable. HMD is still said to be working on the camera and editing algorithms for the feature to reach the desired standards.

The report also mentions that the imaging team is working to improve the ‘Pro’ and ‘Night’ modes on the Nokia 9.3 PureView’s camera app. There will also be some exclusive Zeiss tweaking on the device, as per the report.

Apart from this, no new information seems to have trickled down from the rumour mill. It can be speculated that the Nokia 9.3 will have flagship-grade internals which would include the latest in Qualcomm’s high-end silicone and also a high amount of RAM, likely up to 12GB.

Earlier reports on the device stated that it will have a 6.29-inch QHD+ P-OLED panel with a 2K resolution and it will be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6. We can be sure that the phone will come with stock Android 10, as is the case with all of HMD Global’s phones. Battery-wise it is being speculated that the phone will have a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support.
