Nubia launched the Nubia Red Magic 6 and the Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro smartphones in China back in March. Now, the company is introducing yet another handset in the Nubia Red Magic 6 series, dubbed as the Nubia Red Magic 6R. This latest offering by Nubia is a gaming smartphone that features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset. The device packs up to 12GB of RAM and sports a 64MP quad-camera setup. Similar to other gaming handsets, the Nubia Red Magic 6R comes with dual shoulder keys for an enhanced gaming experience. Nubia Red Magic 6R Pricing And Availability

The Nubia Red Magic 6R comes in Phantom Black, and Stream Silver colour options. The Red Magic 6R 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at around 2999 Yuan (Rs. 34,155), while the 8GB RAM variant with 128GB storage costs 3299 Yuan (Rs. 37,580). The pricing of 12GB + 128GB version is set to 3,599 yuan (Rs Rs. 40,995). There’s also a top-end model which packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. This higher-end variant is priced at around 3899 yuan (Rs. 44,420).

Alongside, the Nubia Red Magic 6R, the company has also introduced the Red Magic 6R special Victorious Fighting Buddha Edition that has a Black and Yellow finish. This variant comes with matching themes and wallpaper which is priced at around 3,999 yuan (Rs. 45,555). This special edition version comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device will be available for sale in China starting from June 1st.

Nubia Red Magic 6R Specifications, Features

The Nubia Red Magic 6R features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that has FHD+ 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. The display panel has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and 770 nits peak brightness. It also has an adaptive refresh rate, which lets users switch the refersh rate between 30Hz / 60Hz / 90Hz / 120Hz / and 144Hz. The phone features 400Hz single finger touch sampling rate and a 360Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. The smartphone comes with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM options along with 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. As for the software, the Red Magic 6R runs Android 11 out of the box with Redmagic OS 4.0.

As mentioned above, similar to the other gaming handset, the Red Magic 6R is equipped with a dual shoulder button for an enhanced gaming experience. For optics, Nubia has incorporated a quad-camera setup for the Nubia Red Magic 6R. The device features a 64MP primary main camera (Sony IMX682 sensor), an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video-calling, the phone sports a 16MP camera that has an f/1.8 aperture. The device comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor, and also has stereo speakers.

Dimensions-wise, the Red Magic 6R measures at around 163.04×75.34×7.8mm and weighs about 186 grams. Connectivity-wise, the phone has dual-SIM support, 5G NSA /SA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port. The Red Magic 6R packs a 4200mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging.
