OnePlus 9E/9R (LE2101) and OnePlus 9 Pro (LE2121) Spotted on India BIS Certification Ahead of March 23 Launch

The cheaper OnePlus 9 series smartphone is said to carry OnePlus 9R moniker.

Earlier this week OnePlus announced its partnership with Hasselblad and revealed the launch date for the upcoming OnePlus 9 series smartphones. To those unaware, the OnePlus 9 series will make its global debut later this month on the 23rd of March. OnePlus is said to launch three smartphones under the OnePlus 9 series –  OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and a Lite variant. The moniker for the third smartphone in the OnePlus 9 series hasn’t been clear to date. The smartphone might be called OnePlus 9 Lite, OnePlus 9E, or OnePlus 9R based on several leaks and reports. The commercial marketing name may not be clear yet, but that doesn’t stop a device from getting certified. Earlier this morning, we spotted a couple of OnePlus 9 series devices on BIS certification.

We are a couple of weeks away from the launch, and now, we have spotted two OnePlus 9 series smartphones with model numbers LE2101, and LE2121 on BIS certification. The smartphone with model number LE2121 is the OnePlus 9 Pro. While the LE2101 should be OnePlus 9E or OnePlus 9R, or OnePlus 9 Lite.

OnePlus 9E, OnePlus 9 Lite, or OnePlus 9R?

Back in November, popular leakster, Max J claimed that the third smartphone in the OnePlus 9 lineup will be called OnePlus 9E. Later in December, a report by Android Central revealed that the cheaper OnePlus 9 series device will be called OnePlus 9 Lite. But making things even more confusing, Evan Blass recently claimed that the smartphone will carry the OnePlus 9R Moniker. We will have to wait for a couple of weeks to see what moniker will this smartphone carry.
