The OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone is expected to launch in China soon. Ahead of the official announcement, specifications of the device have leaked online. It is said to sport a display similar to the flagship OnePlus 12, which was launched earlier this month and is powered by Snapdragon’s Gen 3 series processor.
OnePlus Ace 3 will be the successor to the Ace 2, which made its debut in February this year. OnePlus Ace 3 was rebranded as OnePlus 11R for India and other international markets. The Ace 2 and 11R were launched in China and global markets simultaneously.

OnePlus Ace 3 To Feature Display Similar To OnePlus 12
OnePlus Ace 3 will sport a 6.78-inch BOE X1 curved display with a resolution of 1.5K, according to tipster Digital chat station (translated from Chinese). In a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, the tipster also suggested that the peak brightness level and PWM dimming rate of the Ace 3’s display could be similar to the OnePlus 12 as well.
To give a perspective, OnePlus 12 sports a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels. The peak brightness level of the screen on the OnePlus 12 that of 4,500 nits and it gets a PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz.

The tipster further revealed that the OnePlus Ace 3 will come with a metal mid-frame chassis design. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and backed by a 5,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging.
In comparison, the OnePlus 12 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and is backed by a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W SuperVOOC, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Digital Chat station previously revealed that the OnePlus Ace 3 will have a metal middle frame similar to that of the aluminium alloy frame. It is said to sport a gunmetal grey-glass body design.
OnePlus Ace 3 was previously spotted on Geekbench as well. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor could be coupled with 16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal storage. The listing also reveals the phone will run on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box in China. The global variant could ship with Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14.
As per the Camera FV 5 certification, the Ace 3 will sport a triple rear camera setup where the primary sensor will be 50MP with support for f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), 24.6mm focal length and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). There will be an 8MP ultra-wide-angle secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and EIS and a third 32MP telephoto lens. The front camera could be 16MP with f/2.4 aperture and EIS.

OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to launch in China soon. Weibo tipster WHYLAB revealed that OnePlus will debut the Ace 3 smartphone in December. The smartphone will be announced in China first, followed by a global launch. A screenshot by a Chinese retailer reveals that OnePlus will debut the Ace 3 on December 17 in China. In addition, several reports have hinted at the launch of the smartphone on the same date.
