OnePlus is expected to launch its first smartphone under the Nord lineup. The moniker of the Nord Watch was spotted on the company’s official website back in April. The upcoming Nord smartwatch is said to launch in the coming months. Recently, the renders of the Nord smartwatch surfaced on the web. Now, we have spotted the upcoming Nord Watch on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) certification website.
The certification listing for the Nord Watch reveals that its model number is OPBBE221. The OnePlus Nord Watch will rely on Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity to connect with the smartphones. Previously a leak had suggested that the OnePlus Nord Watch will use OnePlus N Health app as the companion app. The appearance on the Bluetooth SIG certification hints toward an imminent launch. As mentioned above, the OnePlus Nord Watch made an appearance on the Bluetooth SIG certification website with the model number OPBBE221. The certification listing also confirms that the smartwatch will support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Apart from this, the OnePlus Watch Bluetooth SIG listing doesn’t reveal anything in terms of specifications.
However, the upcoming OnePlus Watch is expected to launch two versions of the OnePlus Nord Watch, one with a square-shaped dial and the other with a round dial. The company might launch the upcoming smartwatch in as many as five variants if the leaks are to be believed. It is not clear if the model number OPBBE221 corresponds to the square-shaped one or the one with the round dial.
OnePlus Nord Watch models with rectangular dial will have 240×280 and 368×448 pixel resolution. Whereas the circular variant will offer 240×240 and 390×390 pixel resolutions. Nord Watch with model number OPBBE221 has already cleared BIS certification. So, the India launch is definitely on the cards.
