Oppo has confirmed the Find X5 series launch event. The company has announced that it will host the global launch of its flagship smartphone series on February 24. At the event, Oppo will launch at least two premium smartphones. These include the Oppo Find X5 and the Find X5 Pro.
The company has teased some key details like its collaboration with Hasselblad for the Find X5 series camera, the use of MariSilicon X NPU, etc. More details of the devices will be announced at the event. Two Variants of Oppo Find X5 Pro Tipped
Oppo is expected to launch the Find X5 Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. A new leak reveals that the Dimensity 9000-powered variant is also in the works. A Twitter user has uploaded an image that lists out the complete spec sheet of the two Oppo smartphones.
It reveals that the Pro model will have two options. One of the variants has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and MariSilicon X combo. The other variant will feature a Dimensity 9000 SoC. This might make the Find X5 Pro the first smartphone worldwide to feature the flagship MediaTek processor. The company has not confirmed any details so far about launching two variants of its flagship phone.
Both variants are likely to feature the same specs other than the processor and the NPU. They will sport a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. There will be another 50MP ultrawide camera and a 13MP telephoto camera. There might be some difference between the main camera sensor on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant and the Dimensity 9000 model. The former will have a 1G+6P lens setup, whereas the latter has a 7P lens.
Both variants pack a 5000 mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging, 50W wireless charging. The devices will charge completely within 35 minutes as per the claims. The Snapdragon variant will launch in 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB options, whereas the Dimensity 9000 variant will come in a single 12GB + 256GB option.
At the front, both phones will have a 6.7-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. The screen on the Snapdragon model will be an LTPO 2.0 panel for supporting a 1Hz-120Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek variant will have an LTPO 1.0 panel. For selfies, the devices will feature a 32MP Sony IMX709 front camera sensor. They will come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The two variants measure 8.5mm in terms of thickness and weigh around 216 grams.

The vanilla Find X5 will have a Snapdragon 888 SoC and Oppo’s MariSilicon X NPU. It will sport a triple-camera setup on the back with the same 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera. The device will come with a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor. It will pack a 4800 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The phone will also support 30W wireless charging.
The device will come with a 6.55-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. It will support a 120Hz refresh rate as well. The Oppo flagship will measure 8.7mm and weigh 196 grams. It will come with an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.
