OPPO will debut the Find X7 series smartphones before the Chinese Spring Festival.
The upcoming Find X7 Pro will be the first to feature a dual-periscope lens.
OPPO will equip the vanilla smartphone with the same display as the OnePlus 12 5G.
OPPO recently launched OPPO Reno 11 5G and OPPO Reno 11 Pro 5G smartphones in China. The smartphones have made its way to multiple international certification authorities, hinting that the global launch is nearing. OPPO also announced a permanent price reduction in India for the OPPO Reno 10 Pro 5G smartphone. The Chinese smartphone giant is reportedly working on the upcoming OPPO Find X7 5G and OPPO Find X7 Pro 5G smartphones.
The smartphones will be the successor to the OPPO Find X6 5G series smartphones. OPPO launched the Find X6 5G and Find X6 Pro 5G smartphones on March 2023 in China. Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster from China, recently revealed the launch timeline of the upcoming Find X7 series smartphones. The tipster hints that OPPO will debut the smartphones ahead of its usual timeline. DCS has shed some light on the display specifications of the upcoming smartphones in his new post on Weibo.
OPPO Find X7 Series Expected Specifications
Digital Chat Station confirms that OPPO will equip the vanilla Find X7 smartphone with a BOE X1 display jointly developed by OnePlus and BOE. OnePlus has confirmed that it will equip the OnePlus 12 5G with the BOE X1 display. The BOE X1 display measures 6.82 inches and features an 8T LTPO panel.
The display has a resolution of 1400 x 3168 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. OnePlus revealed that the display has a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The tipster previously revealed that the OnePlus 12 5G smartphone can reach a peak brightness of 1722 nits in manual mode. The BOE X1 display has also received DisplayMate A+ certification, which is the first for a 2K resolution AMOLED panel.
OnePlus also incorporates OPPO’s P1 independent display chip and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The tipster adds that OPPO hasn’t confirmed whether to opt for BOE or Samsung’s E7 AMOLED panel for the Find X7 Pro smartphone. Digital Chat Station reveals that the Find X7 Pro will also have a 2K resolution AMOLED panel. OPPO will equip the forthcoming smartphones with curved AMOLED panels.
The tipster also reveals the camera specifications of the upcoming device. The vanilla smartphone will sport a triple rear camera setup with a periscope telephoto sensor. The periscope lens of the vanilla device will bring support for 3x optical zoom. The previous leaks confirmed that OPPO will equip the Find X7 Pro smartphone with quad rear cameras.
The upcoming Find X7 Pro smartphone will be the first to sport a dual periscope lens. The setup will include a 50MP Sony LYT 900 primary sensor with a sensor size of 1 inch and Dual Conversion Gain (DCG) technology. The sensor will be paired with a secondary 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The other sensors include a 50MP Sony IMX 890 periscope lens with 2.7x optical zoom and a 50MP Sony IMX 858 sensor with 6x optical zoom.
OPPO will equip the smartphones with a HyperTone camera system which is developed in collaboration with Hasselblad. The vanilla and Pro smartphones are tipped to equip MediaTek Dimensity 9300 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. OPPO will launch the smartphones before February 10, which marks the beginning of the Chinese spring festival.
