OPPO PEXM00, Part of Reno 6 Series Spotted On Geekbench With Snapdragon 768G

OPPO is prepping up towards the launch of the Reno 6 series smartphones. The Reno 6 lineup is considered to include three devices that reportedly bear the model numbers as PEPM00, PEXM00, and PDNM00. The Reno 6 series had gained the prior 3C and MIIT certification a few days ago. The 3C certification had revealed the charging capability details of these three models. Now, one of the Reno 6 model has appeared in the Geekbench database. The benchmark confirms the hardware specifications of the Reno 6 ahead of the official launch. Additionally, a new leak revealed by Digital Chat Station on Weibo reveals the design of the OPPO smartphone which could to be the Reno 6 series model. OPPO Reno 6 (PEXM00) Spotted on Geekbench

The Geekbench benchmark has listed the Reno 6 handset with model number PEXM00. The device will ship with a 2.80GHz Snapdragon 768G 5G chipset that will be aided with 8GB of RAM, reveals the benchmark result. On the software front, the smartphone will run Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 11 UI. In the Geekbench test result, the Reno 6 has managed to pull off 3167 and 7500 points in the single-core and multi-core test respectively. And that’s all the details we can grab from the preliminary Geekbench results.

In a piece of related news, we even saw the OPPO PEXM00 clearing the TENAA certification a few days ago. The device was listed with a 6.43-inch display. Dimensions-wise, this particular model is supposed to measure at around 159.1×73.4×7.9mm. The device is expected to feature a 64MP primary main camera. For the selfies and video-calling, the phone might sport a 32MP camera. The device might draw power from a 4200mAh battery that will have a 65W fast-charging support, as revealed by 3C certification

The previous leak suggests us that the base Reno 6 model will pack a Dimensity 1200 chipset, while the Reno 6 Pro might be powered a Snapdragon 870 SoC. On the other hand, the higher-end model of all, the Reno6 Pro+ might pack Snapdragon 888 chipset. The current details revealed by the Geekbench does contradict to the previously leaked information, as the benchmark has detailed the one particular Reno 6 variant with Snapdragon 768G chipset.

OPPO is expected to announce the Reno 6 series smartphones sometime in April or May this year. The Reno 5 series was announced by OPPO back in December 2020 last year. Now, that the Reno 6 lineup has already started appearing in benchmark and certifications, we can expect OPPO to reveal the launch date of this upcoming series soon.
