The rumors and leaks surrounding the Oppo Reno 3 series of smartphones will soon come to a stop as the December 26 launch date nears. That said, there is still some time left before Oppo makes the Reno 3 and the Reno 3 Pro smartphones official and there are still some bits of intel that are up for grabs. For instance, we have now received a couple of leaked real-life images of the Oppo Reno 3 smartphone that not only showcase the front of the device in all its glory but also double-check some of the earlier leaked specifications.

Oppo Reno 3 leaked real-life images reveal key specifications before the official launch

As seen in the leaked images, the Oppo Reno 3 is now confirmed to sport a waterdrop notch display. Plus, we can see a Black frame that possesses a Blue power button on the right side, pretty much typical of the Oppo Reno series of smartphones.

What’s more interesting to see is the events that are happening on the screen. The Reno 3 leaked image shows the device running the system app, AIDA64 which reveals a lot about its specifications. The AIDA64 app confirms that the Oppo Reno 3 will be powered with a MediaTek MT6885 chipset. The processor will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Note that the Oppo Reno 3 device will come in more memory variants (a 12GB RAM variant with 128GB of internal storage got leaked a couple of days ago).

We already know (courtesy of the recent TENAA listing the device has made its way to) that the SoC on the Oppo Reno 3 will be clocked at 2.2GHz, so these unknown cores are most likely the performance cores and should ideally be the Cortex-A77.

As for the rest of the specifications of the device, the Oppo Reno 3 will feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. As said, there will be a waterdrop notch coming up with the Oppo Reno 3. The Oppo Reno 3 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a single punch-hole display. At the bottom of the device, we will get the device speaker, the device microphone, and a USB Type-C charging port. Judging by all the promotional posters and leaked images of the device we have got so far, it is being expected that the Oppo Reno 3 will ditch a 3.5mm headphone jack. At the back, the Oppo Reno 3 will feature a quad-camera setup – a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

A big 4025mAh battery will keep the lights of the device on. Adding on, the device appeared on the 3C certification website a little while ago that suggests a 30W charging support.

Lastly, the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro will be the company’s first dual-mode 5G smartphone which will work on both SA (standoppo alone) and NSA (non-standalone) 5G networks.
