Google devices seem to have a long history of being leaked weeks or months before the official announcement. This time around the company has made a mistake and seems to have leaked one of their flagship devices launching next month, the Pixel 8 Pro. The company has accidentally used the image of its upcoming phone on the official website.

Google accidentally published a Pixel 8 Pro image on its Google Store website on the promo page for “Google Subscriptions & Services”. However, after being spotted, the company was quick to take down the image.
The Alt text/description for the image stated “A person takes a call on a Pixel 8 Pro phone in Porcelain.” This confirms that the device was indeed the Pixel 8 Pro in a colour variant called Porcelain. Those who still doubt whether it’s the Pixel 7 Pro or 8 Pro can check the camera module which has all the sensors housed in a single pile whereas in Pixel 7 Pro, there’s a pill and circle to house the sensors.
Also, the watch featured in the image is speculated to be the upcoming Pixel Watch 2.
Google Pixel 8 Pro: What We Know So Far
The Google Pixel 8 series is expected to launch in October. It will have two devices – the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Both devices will feature the company’s custom-developed Tensor G3 SoC. It will also come with a Titan security chip inside. The device specifications have leaked in the past.
The Pro model is rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution, LTPO tech and 120Hz refresh rate support.
Pixel 8 Pro could sport a triple-camera setup on the back. The device is said to feature a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation support. It may feature a 64MP ultra-wide camera sensor and a 48MP telephoto camera on the back.
For selfies, there will be an 11MP Samsung JN1 sensor. The Pixel 8 Pro is said to pack a 4950mAh battery with 27W wired fast charging support. According to a leaked video, the Pixel 8 Pro will also feature a temperature sensor on the back.
