Poco might soon add a new smartphone to its entry-level C-series lineup. An upcoming Poco handset with model number 220333QPG was spotted on the FCC certification website last month. Now, we have spotted the same device on the NBTC database. The NBTC database listing for Poco 220333QPG confirms that it will launch as Poco C40 in the global markets. Alongside, the Poco C40 Indian variant with model number 220333QPI has also made an appearance on the BIS certification website which hints toward an imminent launch.

As per a report that surfaced last month, the upcoming Poco C40 might be powered by an entry-level processor – JR510. The upcoming handset might be the first device with MIUI Go Edition. Let us take a closer look at what we know about the Poco C40!

A Rebranded Redmi 10C?

To those unaware, the model number 220333QAG corresponds to the Redmi 10C (called Redmi 10 in India). So, the upcoming Poco C40 might be a rebadged Redmi 10C. However, despite having a similar model number, the upcoming Poco C40 might differ from the Redmi 10C in some departments.

Last month, a report suggested that the upcoming Poco C40 smartphone might not be powered by Qualcomm or MediaTek chipset. Instead, the company might make use of an entry-level JR510 processor. The report also suggests that the device will not come with regular MIUI.

The upcoming Poco 40 has already visited FCC revealing some of the key specifications. The Poco C40 will boot MIUI 13 out of the box. However, instead of regular MIUI, it might come with MIUI Go Edition. It’s not clear if the MIUI version for the device will be based on Android 11 or Android 12.

The Poco C40 will support 2.4GHz as well as 5GHz WiFi networks. The upcoming Poco C-series handset will support 10W charging. The certification listing also revealed that the Poco C40 will measure 167.18 x 76.87mm in terms of length and width.

As of now, only this much is known about the upcoming Poco C40. However, we can expect the handset to appear on other certification websites in the coming weeks.
