Poco F4 5G has been launched in India after a series of teasers on social media platforms over the past few weeks. This is Poco’s latest F series smartphone. The Poco F4 5G was launched in India while the Poco X4 GT tagged along in the global launch today. The Poco X4 GT is expected to come as Redmi K50i in India in teh next few weeks.
The Poco F4 is powered by Snapdragon 8 series chipset and it comes with other premium features like an E4 AMOLED display, Dolby Vision support and much more. Also, the Poco F4 is the first device to come with a two-year warranty in India from teh brand. Let’s take a look at the features, specifications, and price.

The Poco F4 5G starts at Rs 27,999 for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone comes in three variants and the pricing is as follows.

Poco F4 5G: Availability and Offers
The Poco F4 5G will go on sale in India starting June 27th and the phone will be available on Flipkart. It will be available in Nebula Green and Night Black colour options. As for the launch offers, you can get up to a Rs 3,000 instant discount with an SBI credit card/debit card and Rs 1,000 pre-paid offer.
Buyers on day 1 will get a Disney+ Hotstar membership for free, the plan details were not revealed.
Poco F4 5G: Specifications and Features
The Poco F4 5G sports a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, DCI-P3 gamut, 1300nits brightness, 360Hz sampling, and for the first time on Poco, the F4 offers support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. To complement the screen, the device comes with a b dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, making it a very capable entertainment companion.
The Poco F4 5G will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. The handset offers Liquidcool 2.0, which is a cooling system with a 3112 mm sq. vapour chamber and a 7-layer graphite sheets to meet the thermals under check. The device comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage as well.
As for the cameras, the Poco F4 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP (f/1.79) main sensor with OIS and EIS support. It is accompanied by an 8MP(f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP(f/2.4) macro snapper. To the front, the phone is backed by a 20MP selfie camera.
It draws power from the 4500mAh battery unit with support for 67W fast charging, which can fuel up the device to 50% in 11 minutes. As for the design, the Poco smartphone comes with a squared-off design and is 7.7mm thin and weighs 195 grams. The device is fitted with Corning Gorilla Galas protection. Other features include 10 5G bands, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Android 12 based on MIUI 13, IP53 rating and Poco launcher 4.0.
Poco F4 5G: How does it Compare with Competition?
The Poco F4 5G will rival the Iqoo Neo 6, which also comes with the same display and SoC. Even the camera specs on paper are identical on these two phones. However, the Neo 6 offers a larger 4700mAh battery unit and supports 80W fast charging. The base variant of the Poco F4 will take on the likes of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 and also the Realme 9 Pro+, which offers the best camera for around Rs 25,000.
