POCO, earlier his year, launched the POCO M3 in India. The company is now gearing up to launch the “Pro” variant of its budget smartphone. POCO is launching the M3 Pro globally on May 19. The smartphone could launch next month in India. It is rumoured that the upcoming POCO smartphone is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G. Add to it the recent report by POCO Global executive Kevin Xiaobo Qiu, and Angus Ng confirming that the device will feature a MediaTek Dimensity processor. POCO M3 Pro launch on May 19

POCO has confirmed the launch of its new M-series smartphone. The POCO M3 Pro launches globally on May 19.

The teaser invite does not reveal much about the device. However, POCO Global’s Angus Ng has confirmed that the device will come with a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. The device is also rumoured to launch as a rebadged Redmi Note 10 5G. Adding more weight to these rumours are the FCC and BIS certification listings. The Redmi Note 10 5G was launched earlier this year. We expect the device’s India price at around Rs 15,000.

POCO M3 Pro specifications

Assuming that the device is a rebadged Redmi Note 10 5G, it will draw power from a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The performance unit is likely to include up to 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will also pack a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support.

The device will sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with 1080 × 2400 resolution. It will have a 90Hz refresh rate screen with 500 nits peak brightness. The display will also have a hole-punch cutout for the 8MP front camera.

On the back, it will have a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. The other two 2MP sensors will be used for depth and macro. The device runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 for POCO out of the box.
