The POCO M6 Pro 5G will be one of the new budget 5G smartphones in India. The M6 Pro 5G is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000 in India. POCO has confirmed that the phone will sport a flat frame design. The company’s latest teaser, ahead of the August 5 launch, confirms that the M6 Pro 5G will also sport a flat display. The screen has fairly slim bezels around the display. It also sports a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. On the right edge, there are the power and volume keys.
The M6 Pro 5G is also confirmed to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC based on a 4nm fabrication process. The same SoC is found in the recently launched Redmi 12 5G. The company also claims that the M6 Pro 5G scored over 4,37,000 points on AnTuTu.
Going by what the teasers and the rumour mill suggest, it is safe to say that the M6 Pro 5G will likely be a rebadged Redmi 12 5G.
Redmi 12 5G was launched at a starting price of Rs 11,999 for the base 4GB + 128GB storage option and goes all the way up to Rs 15,499 for the top-end 8GB + 128GB variant. The M6 Pro 5G’s pricing could be more or less similar.
