Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan-1 was released in the theaters across the country back on September 30 and then made its OTT debut on November 4. However, the movie’s Hindi version was not released then.
Today, the Hindi version of PS-1 has finally made its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video, but it is only available on a rental basis. Prime users will need to pay a sum of Rs 199 to stream the movie. The rent-free version will be available to all Prime users from November 26, 2022.

Ponniyin Selvan 1 Storyline
The story follows Vandiyathevan, who sets out to cross the Chola land to deliver a message from the crown prince Aditya Karikalan. Kundavai tries to establish political peace as petty chieftains and vassals plot against the throne. As a long-tailed comet arrives, signalling a time of turmoil, unrest grips the land. The movie is a historical period drama that gives us a glimpse into the lives of the Chola royals.
