  • Realme has confirmed the comeback of its Realme GT Series in India.
  • The company will soon launch a new flagship device in the country in 2024.
  • The device is likely to be the Realme GT 5 Pro.

The Realme GT Series was introduced by the company in 2021 as a flagship killer lineup. Realme also brought the series to India, starting with the original Realme GT that featured the Snapdragon 888 chipset. However, the company has not launched any new devices in the GT series since September 2022 in the country.

Now, Realme has confirmed that it will soon bring back the GT Series to India. Francis Wong, Head of Product Marketing at Realme, posted on Twitter that the company plans to release a new GT device in the country in 2024.

While he did not confirm the exact model, Realme will likely revive the series with its latest Realme GT 5 Pro which was released in China a few weeks back. It features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset along with a triple rear camera setup. The device also comes with a 144Hz display, making it the most powerful Realme device ever.

To recall, Realme’s last flagship in India was the Realme GT Neo 3T which was launched in 2022. Since then, we have not seen any new top-end devices in the country, as the company has focused more on its budget and mid-range offerings. Realme’s number series, C-Series, and Narzo lineup have been doing well in the Indian market.

Realme’s re-entry into the flagship segment will provide more choices to Indian customers. According to a report from Counterpoint Research, India is the fastest-growing market in the world for flagship devices, and Realme appears to vying for a share of the same.
