After multiple leaks and rumours, Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi 12 smartphone. This new device is launched by Xiaomi in Thailand. Speaking about the specifications, the Redmi 12 comes with a 6.79-inch display that has a Full HD+ resolution. The device has a 90Hz refresh rate, a punch-hole cutout at the centre and a 550 nits brightness. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core chipset. Furthermore, the handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock support, a triple-camera setup, and an 8MP selfie camera. The Redmi 12 comes in Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver colour options. The Redmi 12 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at TBH 5,299 (roughly Rs 12,516). The pricing of the 4GB/8GB RAM variant with 128GB/256GB of internal storage is yet to be revealed. The handset can be purchased in Thailand via Shopee as well as Lazada. No detail about the global availability of the device is known yet.

The Redmi 12 features a 6.79-inch display with a Full HD+ 2460 x 1080 pixel resolution. The display panel has a 90Hz refresh rate, 396 PPI pixel density, 550 nits brightness, and a punch-hole cutout. Powering the device under the hood there is an octa-core Helio G88 processor. The device packs up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The handset also has microSD card support for storage expansion up to 1TB.
