Xiaomi will launch new budget smartphones in India on September 6. The company has confirmed the launch of the Redmi 11 Prime series in India. Alongside, Redmi will also launch the A1 as its new entry-level smartphone in India. The device will be the most affordable offering from Redmi for 2022. Ahead of the official launch, the company has confirmed some of the key specifications and features of the upcoming Redmi A1.

Redmi A1 Design Renders 

Redmi A1 will be a new budget offering for the Indian market. Ahead of its official launch on September 6, the phone’s specs have leaked. The image uploaded by Twitter user Unlock and Free revealed that the A1 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. It will be paired with at least 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

A separate report by 91Mobiles Hindi also revealed the design renders of the upcoming budget smartphone. The images reveal the phone’s design in all its glory. At the front, there will be a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Since it is a budget offering, the phone will offer a standard 60Hz refresh rate support and an HD+ resolution. The device also sports a water-drop notch at the top of the display for the 5MP front camera.

The report further revealed that the device will sport an 8MP camera sensor on the back. There will also be a secondary sensor but the details remain unknown. The phone will pack a 5000 mAh battery with support for 10W charging out of the box.

Redmi has confirmed that the A-series phone will launch in three colours – Blue, Green and Black. Other details of the phone, such as the pricing and availability details will be announced at the event on September 6.
