A new Redmi smartphone with model number 24048RN6CI has acquired Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification. We have also spotted a global variant of this handset, with model number 24048RN6CG, on Singapore’s IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) and Russia’s EEC certification website.
These certification listings do not reveal the moniker or specifications of the upcoming handset. Folks at GizmoChina claim that the upcoming device is the Redmi A3x. The model number of the device contains the number 2404, which suggests it could debut in April 2024.
Nothing is known about the upcoming Redmi A3x in terms of specifications. However, we can expect it to be a tweaked version of the existing Redmi A3. The Redmi A3 debuted in February in India and other global markets and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 processor.
The Redmi A3 offers a 90Hz LCD screen with 500nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone has a 5000mAh battery and 10W charging support. It also has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.
