Xiaomi might soon unveil a new entry-level smartphone, the Redmi A3x. We have spotted the upcoming handset, with model number 24048RN6CG, on UAE’s TDRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) certification database.

We have also spotted an upcoming Xiaomi Smart Band with the model number M2345B1 on the TDRA certification website; this could be the Xiaomi Band 9, the successor of last year’s Xiaomi Band 8.

The TDRA certification confirms that the upcoming handset with model number 24048RN6CG will be called Redmi A3x. The smartphone was previously spotted on the BIS, EEC, and IMDA certification websites, but the moniker wasn’t confirmed.

The Redmi A3x TDRA certification doesn’t reveal anything about the device in terms of specifications. However, the appearance of the upcoming device on one more certification website suggests the launch is near. Moreover, the device’s model number contains the string 2404, suggesting that the handset could debut this month, i.e., April 2024.

The Redmi A3x, model number 24048RN6CI, previously obtained Bureau of Indian Standard certification, so it should launch in the Indian market as well. The Redmi A3x could be a tweaked version of the Redmi A3, which was introduced in February in the country.

To recall, the Redmi A3 sports a MediaTek Helio G36 processor and up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone offers a 90Hz LCD screen with 500nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The A-series smartphone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and 10W charging support. It relies on a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.

The Redmi A3 offers an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera on the optics front. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes in Lake Blue, Olive Green, and Midnight Black colour options.
