Redmi is gearing up for the launch of its next K-series phones. The company is rumoured to launch the Redmi K60 series in China sometime in January 2023. The lineup is likely to include three phones at first, which will be called the K60, K60 Pro and K60E. Xiaomi is expected to launch the K60 series in various markets outside China with different monikers.

The company has not confirmed any details about the launch. Meanwhile, specifications and features of the upcoming Redmi K-series smartphones have leaked online. The piece of information comes via My Drivers, which revealed that the K60 series has entered mass production. The three models mentioned above are expected to launch soon. Redmi K60 Series Enters Mass Production

The Redmi K60 series is said to launch in January 2023, most likely before the Chinese Lunar New Year, which is on January 22. The My Drivers report also revealed that the K60 and K60 Pro will feature the upcoming MIUI 14 out of the box. The K60E, which will sit at the bottom of the lineup, will come with MIUI 13 out of the box.

An alleged listing of the K60E revealed that the phone draws power from a Snapdragon 870 SoC. It was also spotted running Android 12 out of the box. The Redmi K60 is said to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, whereas the K60 Pro could come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The report also revealed that the K60 will sport a 2K display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The device will also come with 67W wired fast charging and is also tipped to offer wireless charging support for the first time.

Recently, specifications of the K60 leaked online. The phone was said to sport a 6.67-inch display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The screen is said to be flat with very thin bezels around it. It will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is also likely to pack a 5500mAh battery under the hood.

On the back, the phone could feature a 64MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. There will feature a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Xiaomi is likely to launch the K60 5G with up to 12GB of RAM.
