The Redmi Note 9 is one of the most popular phones that Xiaomi has on offer today, coming from a line of well appreciated Redmi Note series phones. Now, according to information tipped online, the company is seemingly set to launch the 5G variant of its Redmi Note 9 series smartphones. As always, reports have suggested that the Redmi Note 9 5G will also get a Pro variant, and going by speculations, the launch can happen as early as November 24 in China. It is quite possible that the Xiaomi group limits the Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G to only its home ground China, since 5G has still seen a limited rollout so far in select geographical regions.
Redmi Note 9 5G expected specifications
According to the latest tip, published basis statements given to the media by Xiaomi group president and Redmi general manager, Lu Weibing, Chinese publication IT Home claims that the Redmi Note 9 will be powered by a new MediaTek 5G chipset – the Dimensity 720. The Redmi Note 9 Pro, meanwhile, may run on a purported Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 SoC. In terms of the displays, both the phones are slated to come with full-screen LCD panels, with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. However, while the Redmi Note 9 5G will reportedly feature a punch-hole front camera to the top left corner, the Note 9 Pro 5G will seemingly come with a centrally aligned punch hole front camera.
