Redmi Pad Gets Price Cut in India: Here’s How Much It Costs Now

Xiaomi has silently announced a price reduction of the Redmi Pad tablet in India. It had launched the Redmi Pad tablet with the Xiaomi 12T series smartphones in October 2022. The Redmi Pad was the second product in the tablet category from the brand, apart from Xiaomi Pad 5.

The company had marked its return to India’s tablet market with the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet last year. The price cut comes as Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Redmi Pad SE tablet in January along with the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones in India.

Redmi Pad: Updated Pricing and Availability

Xiaomi launched the budget Redmi tablet in three variants with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.The base variant with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage was launched at Rs 14,999 and it will now cost Rs 13,999.

The other two variants, with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, were priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999, respectively at the time of launch. After the new price cut, these two variants of the Redmi Pad will now cost Rs 14,999 (4GB+128GB) and Rs 16,999 (6GB RAM+128GB).

Xiaomi has also included an option for exchanging old smartphones with the device. The updated pricing of the tablet is already live on Amazon India, Flipkart, and Xiaomi’s online store.

Xiaomi Redmi Pad: Bank Discount Offers

The Chinese smartphone giant also announced an instant bank discount of Rs 1,000 for the base variant and Rs 1,500 for the other variants. The instant bank discounts will be available to HDFC Bank Credit Card, EMI, and ICICI net banking customers for orders placed until December 31.

In other news, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 13C smartphones in 5G and 4G variants in India earlier this week. The Chinese smartphone giant divulged in the launch event that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ smartphone will debut in January in the country. Xiaomi seems to debut many other Redmi products in the upcoming launch event.
