The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is reportedly going to be the Korean technology conglomerate’s last smartphone of 2021, before it begins 2022 with its customary flagship smartphone launch. According to a report, official renders of the Galaxy A73 are now out in the wild, and the details revealed showcase a design language that’s in keeping with the new generation of Samsung’s smartphone design. The smartphone is expected to be a mid-premium range offering, sitting in the upper tier of the Galaxy A series of Samsung smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G: expected specifications
In terms of what specifications are expected, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch flat, full HD+, 90Hz display, which will likely be an SAMOLED panel that Samsung uses in most of its smartphones. The latter is also tipped to bear a drill hole slot for its front camera, which Samsung calls its Infinity-O design.
To the rear, the smartphone is seen featuring a quad camera module. The report claims that this will feature a 108MP primary camera sensor, keeping in line with the competition in the mid-premium smartphone segment in India. However, details regarding the other camera units on the smartphone have not been published yet, giving little information about if the Samsung Galaxy A73 may come with a telephoto camera as well.
The leak report further claims that the Galaxy A73 in question will be 7.6mm thick, which would be fairly sleek and be in line with the company’s new design language as well. Other key specifications that have been tipped include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G octa-core SoC, along with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The smartphone is also likely to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It may come preloaded with Android 12, with Samsung’s custom OneUI 4 skin on top. The device may be seen in black and gold colour options, too.
The report suggests that the Samsung Galaxy A73 may cost Rs 32,999 in India. However, given that the Galaxy A52s 5G already costs more, it remains to be seen if such pricing does reflect accurately, once the smartphone is launched.
