Samsung is gearing up to launch a new M-series smartphone, Samsung Galaxy M12. Last month, the renders of the smartphone appeared on the web revealing some key specifications of the smartphone. The smartphone (with the model numbers SM-M12FG/DS and SM-F12G/DS) has already received Bluetooth SIG and BIS certification. Last week, the smartphone appeared on Geekbench website revealing the presence of Exynos 850 SoC and Android 11. Now, the smartphone has appeared on the FCC website revealing the presence of a 6,000mAh battery unit, and 15W fast-charging support. Let us have a detailed look at it.

FCC documents mention the model number of the battery as EB-BM207ABY. To those unaware, Galaxy M30s features a battery with the same model number, which confirms that the upcoming Galaxy M12 will feature a 6,000mAh battery. Additionally, the documents reveal that the in-box charger will carry model number EP-TA200. This particular charger is rated for 10W (5V/2A) and 15W (9V/1.67A) output, and Samsung already bundles the same charger with several existing devices.

Galaxy M12 is said to feature a 6.55-inch display with a waterdrop notch. This should be an HD+ LCD panel considering the fact that it is an entry-level device. Geekbench scores have already confirmed the presence of an octa-core Exynos 850 processor, along with 3GB of RAM. Also, on the software front, the smartphone will boot the latest Android 11 based OneUI.

The leaked renders have already confirmed that M12 will feature a quad-rear camera set up inside a squircle camera module. Though no further information available about the resolution and functionality of these four sensors, there are speculations that it will be a combination of 13MP + 5MP + 2MP + 2MPsensors. Moving to the front side, the Samsung Galaxy M12 might feature an 8MP selfie shooter, as per the rumours.

The smartphone will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, embedded in the power button. Also, it will feature a USB Type-C charging port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom.
