Samsung has now officially confirmed that the Galaxy M52 5G smartphone is launching in India on September 28. Earlier, we revealed the phone would have a display with 120Hz refresh rate. We also shared some other details, like the pinstripe design and a triple camera setup on the back.

Samsung is teasing the phone on social media and it looks like the new Galaxy M52 5G will carry a very slim profile as one of the tweets from Samsung mentions that the phone is just 7.4 mm thick along with a follow-up tweet that mentions that the phone will launch on September 28 at 12 noon.

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G Specifications

The new Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is a mid-range device. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778 octa-core SoC, as leaked from a retailer’s listing. Coupled with the Snapdragon 778 SoC, there will be 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage, which is expandable further up to 1TB via microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G will sport a 6.7-inch full HD+ AMOLED display having a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a tall aspect ratio of 20:9 and a refresh rate of 120Hz, bringing the best of both worlds while the display comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection to keep it safe from scratches.

In terms of optics, as revealed in the renders we shared earlier, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G sports a triple camera setup on the back. It is expected that the phone may feature a 64-megapixel primary shooter on the back, alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, we may get to see a 32-megapixel selfie camera. However, there is no word from Samsung or an official confirmation regarding the camera setup on the device so we may need to wait till the launch day to know about that.

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G will run OneUI 3.1, based on Android 11. The device should pack a large battery, probably one with 5000mAh capacity considering the fact that most phones from the Galaxy M Series have a big battery as one of the highlights. As the name Galaxy M52 5G, suggests, the device supports 5G. Apart from 5G, connectivity options on the phone include 4G with VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 3.5mm jack and USB-C. Interestingly, the Galaxy M52 5G features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner cum power button, exactly what we revealed earlier this month.

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G Price

But, in India, since smartphones are priced quite aggressively for budget and mid-range phones, we can expect the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G to be priced somewhere around Rs. 25,000.
