Samsung is gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy S22 series next month. The company is also expected to announce its premium tablet range, the Tab S8 series in the coming weeks. If rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will debut in February or March. Samsung is expected to launch only two out of the three rumoured tablets. While we wait for the official confirmation, some key details of the Galaxy Tab S8 series have leaked online. The latest leak involves the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and the Ultra model’s live images on SafetyKorea. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series launch date remains unknown. While we wait for the details, live images of the three tablets have leaked. The SafetyKorea certification listing confirms the front panel design of all three tabs. As per the listing, the vanilla Tab S8 has the model number SM-X706N. An image attached with the listing reveals that the device has thick bezels around the display. The front camera is also placed on the right edge when the tablet is held vertically.
The Galaxy Tab S8+, on the other hand, has the model number SM-X806N. It also has uniform bezels around the display and the front camera is located on the right edge. The Ultra model, which has the model number SM-X906N, has thinner bezels compared to the other two tablets. Leaked design renders reveal that the Ultra model will have a water-drop notch on the right edge of the display for the front camera. The SafetyKorea certification website does not reveal any other details of the Samsung tablets.
However, we know some key specs of all three tablets. The vanilla model will sport an 11-inch LCD, according to the leaked details. It will also pack a Snapdragon 888 SoC and come with a dual-camera setup on the back. The tablet has a 13MP primary camera and a secondary 5MP sensor with LED flash. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP front camera. The tab is said to pack an 8000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
The Tab S8+ is likely to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and come with at least 8GB of RAM, according to the Geekbench listing. Rumours suggest that the tablet will sport a 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the tablet will pack a 10,090mAh battery.
