It appears that Disney+ Hotstar, itself has revealed the release date of its next Marvel series Secret Invasion. The series’ page on Disney+ US indicated that the Marvel TV series would debut on June 21, 2023. Secret Invasion, the MCU’s first Phase 5 show on Disney+, may finally have a release date after months of speculation.
One of the most eagerly anticipated Disney+ MCU series, Secret Invasion, has fallen victim to the chaos as Marvel Studios works through a variety of behind-the-scenes issues with its release schedule. Although Secret Invasion’s plot will likely be the MCU’s most ambitious to date on Disney+, the show’s debut date has been postponed numerous times. It was first set for Spring 2023 before that date was changed. Even with all of the anticipation that Marvel Studios generated with the release of the first look at the tale in the summer of 2016, this is just one of many worries that fans have had regarding Phase 5.

When And Where to Watch ‘Secret Invasion’
Secret Invasion, the upcoming Marvel Studios series, will undoubtedly debut on Disney+ Hotstar’s streaming platform on Wednesday, June 2, 2023. The six-episode series will really premiere at the very end of spring 2023, according to information on the show’s official Twitter page. The series is full of Action, Adventure, and lots of Drama and unfolds the world of Marvel on your TV screen.
Secret Invasion Official Trailer and Plot
The trailer of the series was first dropped in September last year and another one was dropped in January this year. Both the trailers have created much hype among the fans of the series and they are awaiting its release religiously.
The crossover comic event book Secret Invasion features Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos—characters who originally met in Captain Marvel—and depicts a group of shape-shifting Skrulls led by Kingsley Ben-Adir’s villain who has been infiltrating Earth for years. The 2008–2009 comic book storyline of the same name, which featured more characters than Avengers: Endgame, was much larger in scope. The focus of Secret Invasion is mainly on the dynamic between Jackson and Mendelsohn as well as the political anxiety shown in the comic book pages.
As for the plot of the series, in order to stop a Skrull invasion, Fury returns to Earth in the series and works with Talos. Fury has been requested by Hill to assist on the planet, and this time he has returned to cope with the hazardous Skrull threat.
The cast includes Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Don Cheadle, Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull warrior Talos, and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill apart from Samuel L. Jackson, who will reprise his role as Nick Fury. Kyle Bradstreet is both executive producer and writer of the series.
Reception
The series is much awaited by the fans of Marvel and it shows in the comments made by them on the trailer on Youtube. Fans have even demanded that the series should be released in Hindi as well and even suggested who should do the voiceover. Fans are swooning over Samuel L Jackson’s character and the background music of the trailer and with 281k views, the show is much hyped among the fans.
With this premiere date, the new Disney+ series will have some tough competition in a summer stacked with big-screen blockbusters, even though it comes more than six full weeks after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Between June 30 and July 21, four big films—Barbie, Oppenheimer, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny—will be released in theatres (July 21). All of these happen after the first two Secret Invasion episodes air on Disney+, but since the show’s run will now end on July 26, it will face some fierce competition from blockbusters playing in theatres over those final four weeks.
