Sony has launched a new premium true wireless earbuds in India today. The company has announced the Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 wireless earbuds. These buds were initially launched earlier this year in the US, UK, and other global markets.

The LinkBuds WF-L900 TWS come with a 12mm driver setup, up to 17.5 hours of battery life, support for multiple voice assistants, and a unique open ring design. These premium buds miss out on active noise cancellation.

Sony LinkBuds WF-L900: Price and Availability

The LinkBuds WF-L900 are priced at Rs 19,990 and they will be available via Sony offline stores for now. The pricing of the new buds are identical to the Sony WF-1000XM4 flagship TWS with ANC.

As for the launch offers, Sony has announced pre-booking offers for Sony TWS, allowing users to pre-book LinkBuds for Rs 14,990. In addition, users can also avail Rs 2,000 instant discount with a select credit card. The pre-booking period is open from August 4 to August 12. The buds will be available on Sony’s online and offline retail channels, major e-commerce stores, and electronics stores.

Sony LinkBuds WF-L900: Features and Specifications

These are the world’s first open-ring in-ear headphones. LinkBuds are said to offer a perfect fit with an open ring design that allows you to hear calls, music and other online content anytime, as well as the ambient sounds around you transparently. These are fairly small and compact buds, which are rated to stay comfortable for long hours. The whole package with the case weighs just 34 grams.

As for the audio, the TWS comes with an integrated Sony V1 that reproduces all the detail in music with minimal distortion. These buds come with a specially designed 12 mm ring driver with a high-compliance (low-recoil) diaphragm that provides rich, well-balanced sound.

On the inside, these buds are harnessed with Bluetooth 5.2 and have a range of 10-meter charge. As for the battery life, on a single charge, these TWS are rated to last up to 2.5 hours for calls or up to 5.5 hrs for audio listening. With the included case, the buds are rated to last up to 17.5 hours. It comes with a Type-C port for charging.

The LinkBuds WF-L900 TWS supports SBC, AAC audio format. The audio device supports A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, and HSP sound profiles. For controls, these buds come with a wide area and can perform double tap and triple tap operations. WF-L900 also include support for Google Assistant, Alexa, and Microsoft Soundscape.

Other features include Google fast pair, Spotify tap, IPX4 rating, fast charging, and 360 reality audio.
