Sony has confirmed the launch of its upcoming truly wireless earbuds. The company will debut WF-1000XM4 in Japan on June 9. The launch is scheduled for 1 am JST, which is 9.30 pm IST on June 8. Sony did not explicitly reveal the details of the upcoming product. The company has posted a live-stream link for its upcoming launch. Details of the upcoming Sony earphones have leaked multiple times in the past. The promotional video of the upcoming launch had also leaked a few days ago, confirming the leaked specs. Sony has confirmed the launch date of its new TWS. The Sony WF-1000XM4 launches in Japan at 1 am on June 9. Interested viewers in India can watch the launch of the upcoming Sony event at 9.30 pm on June 8. 

The YouTube link does not reveal any details of the upcoming product. However, we already know that Sony will launch the new XM4 earbuds at the launch. Details of the TWS have leaked multiple times in the past.

Specifications and features

The earbuds are more round and compact compared to its predecessor, the Sony WF-1000XM3. The design of the earbuds resembles the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. The charging pins and proximity sensor are located on the underside of the earbuds. It has a golden cylinder on the outside as previously reported. The overall size of the charging case is also smaller compared to the predecessor model. It is claimed to offer up to 36 hours of battery life with ANC disabled. When ANC is enabled, the earbuds (8 hours) and the charging case (16 hours) combined will offer up to 24 hours of battery life. 

The charging case can be recharged via a USB Type-C cable or Qi wireless charging. It will also come with the Precise Voice Pickup to recognise and react to the user’s inputs. It continues to play the music once the chat is over. The TWS will also come with an IPX4 rating for water protection. It will come with a custom Sony V1 chip that is supposed to offer better ANC performance. Other features include support for LDAC and Hi-Res audio and a custom V1 chip.

Leaked details suggest that Sony will launch its new TWS for EUR 279.9, which is roughly Rs 24,700. The TWS will launch in two colours – Black and Silver. There is a possibility of a Gold colour version launching later.
