Sony is working on launching a new pair of wireless headphones. The company launched the Sony WH-1000XM5 as its new premium headphones in India. In the coming months, Sony might launch another pair of wireless headphones globally. The Sony WH-CH520 will be the next budget headphones from the company.
Sony’s C-series headphones are mainly budget audio products. The upcoming CH520 will launch as a successor to the CH510, which was launched a few years ago. Sony is expected to launch the CH520 in the coming months. The wireless headphones have been spotted on the FCC website ahead of the launch. Sony WH-CH520 could be the company’s new pair of wireless headphones launching soon in various markets in the budget category. The wireless headphones have been spotted on the FCC website with the model number YY2958. According to the FCC listing, the Sony headphones will have an over-the-ear design. The headphones will support Bluetooth LE, BDR and EDR.
There is also a live image attached, which shows the headphones in a Beige colour option. We can expect Sony to launch the wireless headphones in multiple colour options.
The FCC listing does not reveal any other details of the upcoming Sony headphones. We will share more details about the CH520 once available.
In related news, Sony launched its WH-1000XM5 in India. The new Sony premium headphones feature a new design, with a thinner headband and rotating ear cups. The right ear cup has touch controls built-in on the surface area, that can be used to control volume and playback.
The Sony flagship headphones in India also feature the company’s V1 processor, along with a dedicated QN1 HD noise cancelling processor that improves Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). It is priced at Rs 34,990. However, customers can pre-order the headphones before October 8 to get them for Rs 26,990.
