Tecno has launched a new entry-level smartphone under the Pop series in the Indian market. The all-new Tecno Pop 7 Pro is the successor of the Pop 6 Pro which was launched back in September in the country. Compared to its predecessor, the Tecno Pop 7 Pro brings with it an upgraded camera system and double the internal storage.
The Tecno Pop 7 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor and a 5000mAh battery. The smartphone offers a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The entry-level smartphone comes pre-loaded with Android 12 with HiOS 11.0. Even though it is an entry-level smartphone, Tecno has equipped it with a Type-C charging port. The Tecno Pop 7 Pro price in India is Rs 6799 for the 2GB + 64GB configuration option. The handset also comes in a 3GB + 64GB variant that costs Rs 7299. The Tecno Pop 7 Pro will be available for purchase starting February 22 exclusively via Amazon.

The all-new Tecno Pop 7 Pro flaunts a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ (1612 × 720 pixel) resolution, 480nits peak brightness, and 120Hz touch sampling ratio. It is a 20:9 aspect ratio panel that makes room for the front shooter inside a waterdrop notch.
Under the hood, the latest Pop series smartphone packs a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor that brings with it an integrated IMG PowerVR GPU. This is the same processor that powers the Redmi A1, POCO C50, Lava X3, and Tecno Pop 6 Pro. The handset boots HiOS 11.0, based on Android 12 (Go Edition).
The all-new Pop 7 Pro comes in two configurations – 2GB + 64GB and 3GB + 64GB. The 2GB RAM variant of the device supports 2GB extended memory. Whereas, users can take advantage of 3GB extended memory on the 3GB RAM variant.
The Pop 7 Pro comes equipped with a dual-rear camera setup that includes a 12MP primary shooter, an AI lens, and an LED flash. The selfies and video calls on the device are taken care of by a 5MP front shooter and a dual-LED flash.
The latest Pop series smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery unit and 10W charging support. It relies on a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The smartphone offers a dedicated microSD card slot. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack. The latest Pop series smartphone lacks the fingerprint scanner but it supports software-based face unlock.
The Tecno Pop 7 Pro will be available for purchase in Endless Black and Uyuni Blue colour options. It measures 163.86 × 75.51 × 8.9mm and features IPX2 splash-resistant rating. Connectivity options of the device include Dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.
