Vodafone-Idea has launched a new strategy to help its customers that are looking for a new SIM. This is the first time when any telecom operator has come up with this move as earlier customers have to visit retail stores to get the new SIM. The telecom operator has launched an industry-first Self-KYC ( Know your customer) process, which will make the onboarding procedure easier as customers will not have to visit the stores to get the SIM.
Vodafone-Idea Self-KYC Process: Details
It is worth noting that the telecom operator has not launched this initiative in all 22 circles as this is available for Karnataka and Kolkata users. However, Vodafone-Idea is expected to launch the same initiative for all customers in all circles. Plus, this facility is available for postpaid users, which means prepaid users will have to wait to get a new SIM at their doorstep.
KYC is an important step to getting the SIM and self-KYC will allow customers to sit at home and purchase the new connection. However, there are some steps for the Self- KYC.
Here Are Some Steps To Complete The Self-KYC
Step 1: Customers have to check the website and look for the plan.
Step 2: Now, select the number and place the order via OTP authentication
on the alternate mobile number.
Step 3: Now, customers have to follow all steps, which are listed on Self-KYC, including Aadhaar authentication on the UIDAI site.
Step 4: Then, customers have to capture live photos and videos for 10 seconds. Now, the order is placed and digital verification has been completed. The customer will get the new SIM at their home after the OTP authentication.
Vodafone-Idea Postpaid Plans: Details
It is important to note that India’s third largest telecom operator Vodafone-Idea is providing this facility with postpaid plans. These postpaid plans are priced at Rs 401, Rs 401 (South), Rs 501, Rs 701, and Rs 1,101 ( Red X). The Rs 401 postpaid plan offers one connection, 50GB of data, 200GB monthly rollover data, 3000 SMS/Month, and unlimited data (12 am-6 am).
In addition, this pack offers one-year access to SonyLiv Mobile, VIP access to Vi Movies & TV app, six-month Ad-free Hungama music, unlimited downloads, and 1000+ free games on the Vi app.
There is also a Rs 401 plan, which is available in South India. It offers similar benefits along with SunNXT premium access. The Rs 501 pack ships 90GB data, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar, 200GB data rollover facility, 3000 messages per month, and the rest of the benefits are the same. Lastly, there are Rs 701 and Rs 1,101 pack that offers unlimited data, unlimited calling, Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar access, and more benefits.
