Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced the refreshed Rs 49 plan with increased benefits for prepaid customers in India. The telecom operator recently launched a cloud gaming service for smartphones nationwide as well.
Vi Rs 49 Plan Benefits
Vi will offer 20GB of high-speed data with the refreshed Rs 49 pack. The high-speed data will be valid for a day, similar to the previous Rs 49 pack. To recall, the telecom operator offered 6GB of high-speed data with the previous recharge plan.
Vi confirms that the unused data balance will not be carried forward to the next day. It will expire alongside the expiration of the Rs 49 plan. For those unaware, a single validity ends at midnight, despite the customer recharging a few hours before midnight.
The plan offers no other benefits, including voice and SMS, apart from 20GB of high-speed data. Users who intend to recharge the plan must remember that an active base plan is required to enable the Rs 49 plan.
The Rs 49 plan can be recharged from Vi’s application, available in both the Google Play Store and App Store, and from third-party merchants, including Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and more.
Meanwhile, Vi is also expected to begin the rollout of the 5G network in the upcoming six months.
