As for the plot, a multinational corporation is permitted to dig a mine for minerals in the alpine town of Arumapuri by the authorities. Yet, a militant organisation known as “Maklak Bada” is supporting the common folk who have adopted the mountain as their habitat and means of subsistence. Two armed forces police are stationed at Arumapuri and are vying for arresting Perumal (Vijaysethupathi), who is leading it, and destroying his group with a cage.

As a jeep driver, police officer Kumaresan (Suri) joins the camp. He laments for the Arumapuri residents and also finds solace in Tamilarasi, a local woman. The struggle between the police and the people’s forces ceases at this point, and an internment camp for the torture of innocent people is imposed. As a result, Kumaresan believes that by detaining the People’s Force Perumal, the villagers can be spared from torture. Whether or not he encounters Perumal while fleeing is the subject of the first part of the movie.

Soori and Vijay Sethupathi play the key characters in the movie, and Bhavani Sre, Rajiv Menon, and Gautham Vasudev Menon also have significant roles. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack for the film. Reception

A great plot of blood and flesh, shown through an uncompromising screenplay, pits the state violence against the people of the land and the militant groups that stand in their place against the ruling class that stands to gain from mineral exploitation and the profit-seeking of multinational corporations. Fans and critics alike have given the movie favourable reviews for its plot, character development, cinematography, and casting. The change of actor Soori is being praised by critics as he portrays a cop in a serious part for the first time in his cinematic career.
