The S17 Pro, as the name suggests, will be the more premium of the three phones and pack superior hardware. Vivo is expected to launch the phones on June 1. The company is yet to confirm the launch date of the S17 series. The launch does seem imminent as the Vivo S17 Pro has been spotted on the 3C certification website.
The 3C listing confirms the charging speed of the upcoming Vivo smartphone. Let’s take a look at the Vivo S17 Pro specifications, features and other details known so far.
Vivo S17 Pro Might Get Faster Charging Support
The Vivo S17 Pro is likely to launch in China in June. Ahead of the launch, the phone has been spotted on the 3C certification website. According to the 3C listing, the phone has the model number V2284A. It reveals that the S17 Pro will offer charging support of up to 80W. In comparison, the S16 Pro came with 66W fast charging out of the box.
The listing did not confirm the battery specs of the phone. The S17 Pro was spotted recently on the Geekbench website, which confirmed its performance unit details. The upcoming Vivo S17 series smartphone will feature a Dimensity 7200 SoC, which is found in the Vivo V27 5G in India. The S16 Pro features a Dimensity 8200 SoC. Therefore, it looks like the S17 Pro will get a downgrade in terms of performance.
The variant of the S17 Pro listed on Geekbench had 8GB of RAM. Vivo might launch the phone with 12GB and 16GB RAM options. It is likely to get up to 256GB/ 512GB of storage. The S17 Pro will boot Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of Origin OS 3 in China. The device scored scored 873 and 2350 in the Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.
Some other details about the phone have leaked as well. The phone is said to feature a triple-camera setup on the back. It will have a 50MP Sony IMX766V main camera sensor. The primary camera will support optical image stabilisation (OIS). There will also likely be an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom support.
The device will sport a curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It is likely to offer 120Hz refresh rate support. The exact screen size and other details about the phone are under wraps.
The device might launch in other markets outside China as part of Vivo’s upcoming V29 series. However, there will be a few tweaks here and there. What are your thoughts about the S17 Pro? Let us know in the comments below.
