Vivo will launch the smartphones under the Vivo V30 monikers in the global markets. The Chinese OEM will likely debut the smartphone in Q2 of 2024 in international markets. Vivo S18 Series Confirmed Specifications
Vivo has been sharing teasers about the launch of the upcoming smartphones with the caption “Studio level Portraits” on Weibo. Vivo will equip the smartphones with a ring LED light on the rear in a rounded square design. The upcoming S18 series smartphones sport a centred punch hole cutout to house the selfie camera.
Vivo confirms that the upcoming smartphones sport a 50MP selfie camera with dual soft lights. The dual soft lights can be seen on the bezels of the display to enhance the night selfie photography. The smartphone has the same primary and ultrawide sensors as the Vivo X100 smartphone, according to the teasers on Weibo.
The S18 Pro smartphone will sport a 50MP VCS Sony IMX 920 primary lens with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The primary sensor will be paired with a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Vivo also confirms that it will equip the Pro variant with the same telephoto sensor that debuted with the Vivo X90S smartphone.
The S18 Pro will also sport a 12MP Sony IMX 663 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. Vivo previously confirmed that the smartphones will sport a Blue Heart AI model to enhance the photography of the device. The device also incorporates VCS and portrait algorithms from the Vivo X100 series smartphones.
Vivo confirmed that VS18 Pro will sport MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, built on a 4nm process. The teasers shared by the brand previously divulged that the device scores over 1.2 million on the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking website. The smartphone will be backed by a large 5000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging tech.
Vivo also confirmed the launch of the vanilla S18 smartphone through teasers. The GeekBench listing of the vanilla S18 smartphone also revealed that it will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. The smartphone scored over 1221 points in single-core and 3468 in multi-core tests. Vivo will debut the smartphones in Black, Grey and Feather White colour options.
